“The stones are being cast, pressed and then get their historic appearance by a special way of post-processing. Because the stones are made and coloured by hand, every floor is unique.”
The Castle Stones collection currently exists of ten models: Dallen, Dallen Paris, Loft, Bricks, Big Bricks, Oak Bricks, French Bricks, Cobble Stones, Terra Stones and Versailles.
MAINTENANCE AND PRICES
A Castle Stones floor or wall is treated with a modern protection layer. This way, the stones are easier to clean and to maintain. Are you curious about the prices of the Castle Stones, we would like to refer you to one of our suppliers.
Dallen is a stone collection with a robust and authentic character which are being laid in wild bond. The collection is being expanded further and further by the artist. The Dallen come from monumental buildings, monasteries and churches and originate from French Burgundy. Because the stones were not really made to measure in the old days, there is a huge variety of sizes (more than 130 different shapes and sizes, which vary from approx. 28 x 31 cm to 90 x 132 cm).
Dallen Paris is a model with a robust and authentic character like Dallen, being expanded further and further by the artist. He travels to France and selects the most beautiful original stones from antique collections. The Dallen Paris stones come from monumental buildings, monasteries and churches and originally come from French Burgundy.
Because Dallen Paris has a fixed size (approx. 120 x 60 cm) and is not being laid in wild bond, it makes the floor look a bit sleeker than Dallen.
Model Loft mainly consists of larger stones. They are burned and hammered by hand, which gives them a sleek but old appearance. The stones are mostly being laid in wild bond which requires the creation of fitting pieces. These will need to be tailored to the floor and therefore vary in size. This gives the floor its own and unique appearance and ensures that no floor is the same.
Sizes: approx. 91 x 91 cm | 123 x 59 cm | 123 x 78 cm | 123 x 90 cm
The Bricks are reproductions of old English and Dutch bricks that are no longer produced in this form. The original bricks, called Waaltjes, are the oldest prefabricated building element that was shaped and burned out from argillaceous loam in red and yellow. Thanks to our innovative materials and production method, we can produce these stones with the same appearance in contemporary colours.
Sizes: approx. 4,5 x 12 cm to 4 x 15 cm
The Big Bricks series is just a bit larger in size than the Bricks. Because of the irregular structure of the Big Bricks, it has a moving look. This is something that refers back to the French buildings from the past.
The Big Bricks collection consists of more than 70 different models in two different formats
(approx. 5 x 20 cm to 6 x 20 cm)
Model Oak Bricks is timeless and exudes the atmosphere of the old parquet floor. When laid in a fishbone pattern, this floor brings depth and liveliness to a room. Combined with the modern technique and user-friendliness of Castle Stones, this floor can truly be considered a modern classic. This collection consists of 240 different models in a standard format.
Sizes: approx. 5 x 19 cm
The French Bricks are inspired by the Dordogne with a centuries-old character. These stones are glued into strips with a different width for every strip. The stones are made in such a way that if they are glued flat, the front of the stone shifts relative to other stones.
Sizes: widths of approx. 5, 8, 11 and 12 cm x lengths from 9 to 38 cm
Cobble Stones (called Kasseien or kinderkopjes) are small pieces of natural stone that are used for hardening roads after processing. They are called Cobble Stones because they are based on cobble-sized stones. A beautiful collection of stones that can be laid randomly or in a pattern. The Cobble Stones are produced in a standard format.
Sizes: approx. 19 x 13,5 cm
The Terra Stones are our Dutch pride. They are based on one of the first baked stones (Estrikken). This is a tile that can be seen on paintings by our great master painters such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh. These used to be made from clay which meant they were limited to the colours red and yellow. Thanks to our innovative materials and production method we can produce these stones with the same appearance in contemporary colours.
Sizes: approx. 20 x 20 cm
Versailles is named after the famous palace of Versailles in France. These (original) wooden floor panels were introduced in 1684, specially designed for Louis the Great. The use of these floor patterns really took off after that and was applied in many castles and estates. Versailles is timeless and exudes the atmosphere of the old parquet floor. This floor can be considered a modern classic because it brings depth and liveliness to a room.
Sizes: approx. 94 x 94 cm
